1) What database does iPharm use?

iPharm uses Borland Interbase.

2) What is the capacity of the database?

By all accounts, Borland (manufacturer of Interbase) suggest that the database size is governed by the operating system limits.

3) Can we create our own reports or queries?

iPharm includes a Query Builder for quick ad-hoc user defined queries, and allows the resultant data to be exported in an Excel compatible format. Additonally, the database can be accessed with ODBC drivers with a third party report builder.

4) Can I export my data?

Every visible data grid (search window) and every report can be exported into Excel compatible or HTML formats. Additionally, most reports can be produced in PDF format.

6) Do I need to purchase all the modules?

Not at all. You need only purchase the modules you need, and/or are reuired by the modules you select.

7) What third party interfaces are available?

iPharm currently interfaces with Fred, Winifred, Automed and several vendor EDI’s. We are more than happy to discuss your particular requirements for other packages.

8) Is iPharm complicated to install?

Once the server is installed, adding a client is very simply and is handled using a simple Wizard approach.

9) Does iPharm support user configurable lists?

Absolutely. User configurable lists include Sig codes, Therapeutic Groups & Classes, Drug Warnings & Conditions, Product Forms, Product Types, Doctors and more.

10) What peripherals does iPharm support?

iPharm reports can be printed to any printer. Dispensing labels are usually configured for the Zebra range of thermal printers, but others can be supported. More information on supported peripherals can be found here.

11) How does iPharm compare with other similar products?

Price mostly. iPharm compares favourably in core functionality with more expensive but similar applications.
